The Praying Mantis
Not sure what this is. It started out as a sketch (yes that thing on the right there) and turned into what I guess you could call a multimedia doodle (need sound).

I think I must have missed the game that inspired that…
There is a word for what I think that is like, (not being funny btw), but I just can’t think of it.
I’ll have to google.
The phrase “Multimedia doodle” popped into my head today.
Sorry xbox – I rewrote this post and took out my reference to the footy game. Just to make you look a bit mental of course.
Lovely, I could do with some more people questioning my sanity, cheers.
The word still escapes me, but I’m thinking something that would describe the sound of St Peppers mashed with that 80′s cartoon ‘Once upon a time’.
The track behind it changes the mood totally.
I’d like to see it without the floater, the room lights flickering and the odd car passing is very relaxing
Ever consider doing a step by step guide to how you achieved that?
Roy that’s funny – the floater came first. The rest was background. She’s there a bit much alright. I might get rid of her a lot earlier.
Dunno about a step by step. First part is a sketch scanned in and coloured. And there are far superior examples, from pros. On Scamp alone. http://www.scamp.ie/category/step-by-steps/
The second step involves fairly basic Flash techniques. And there’s already a world of tutorials out there. And again there is far superior work.
Maybe if I got a good bit better at both, I’d step it out. Or even had more time (and no rsi) I could put a bit more time into flash.
Thanks for the feedback!
